Carpet Cleaning

A truly clean home starts with clean carpet. All the carpets and textiles in your home act as filters for soils that are ever present and are very effective at that job.  If the carpets in your home are properly maintained, often enough, indoor air quality is improved. Routinely cleaning and protecting your carpet makes for a better home environment and protects your investment.

There is a correct way to clean carpets.  The I.I.C.R.C. (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification) has a published guide for Professional Cleaners that says the cleaning process should look like this.

  • Dry Soil Removal - thorough vacuuming using an upright vacuum with brush agitation and high-efficiency double-lined collection bag, or a final filter, to remove up to 99% of soil particles at 1 micron.
  • Soil Suspension - This involves the application of properly specified, formulated and mixed preconditioning agents designed to separate soil from fibers. There are four fundamentals involved in soil suspension
    1. application of preconditioning chemicals
    2. using heat or temperature to speed chemical reactions
    3. agitation for proper chemical distribution
    4. providing dwell time so that chemical reactions can be completed before soil extraction is attempted
  • Soil Extraction - Any method of cleaning must physically remove soils if it is to be successful. The most popular method for soil removal among professionals is hot water extraction.
  • Grooming - Grooming has little to do with physical soil removal; however, it is needed to eliminate pile distortion and matting, to properly distribute additives, such as carpet protectors, and to create an even appearance for your inspection.
  • Drying - Damp carpet re-soils rapidly, creates potential for slip-fall problems and ultimately can grow bacteria with associated odors. Measures must be taken to dry the carpet in 6-8 hours.

Very few companies adhere to these standards but ALL CLEAN USA won’t do it any other way.  Our hot water extraction is a gentle, safe, thorough cleaning process that insures the best possible cleaning results with no soil attracting residues left behind guaranteeing you the cleanest possible carpet. Most importantly the chemistries used will not void the carpets stain resistant warranties. Our carpet cleaning process consists of these twelve steps:

    1. Pre-inspection
    2. Pre-vacuum with commercial vacuum
    3. Furniture moving
    4. Pre-spray & pre-spot
    5. Pre-grooming agitation
    6. Soil extraction & rinse
    7. Neutralization
    8. Post spotting
    9. Re-apply protector
    10. Speed-dry with air movers
    11. Post grooming
    12. Post Inspection
