ALL CLEAN USA has the ability to clean your fine hand knotted Oriental rugs and your custom made rugs. Like our upholstery cleaning techniques, we tailor the cleaning method to the rug. Most Persian, Turkish, Pakistani, Indian, and Chinese rugs can be safely and gently hand washed to bring out the luster and vibrancy that you remember when it was new. Other rugs, like finely knotted Persian and Turkish Silk rugs, are usually dry cleaned to keep the original hand intact while removing the maximum amount of soil.
Our rugs go through this intensive 9-step process:
- Thorough pre-inspection and qualification of the results.
- A complete dusting process to remove as much soil in the dry state as possible.
- Special attention is paid to the fringes by using special shampoo and rinsing them repeatedly until they are completely clean.
- The rug is put through a special sanitation process by repeatedly flushing water through it. This is designed to remove all of the soil in the rug. If the rug has urine damage then special deodorizers are used to completely flush the urine from the rug.
- The rug is then put through the Moore machine which again washes and rinses the rug.
- The rug is delivered into the dry room where DuPont Teflon is applied.
- The rug pile and fringes are groomed and the rug is hung where it dries in 6 to 8 hours in the heated room.
- The next day the fringes are cleaned again, if needed, and a final inspection of the rug is made.
- The rug is vacuumed on both sides and then rolled and wrapped in paper for delivery.
All the chemistry used in the rug cleaning process is specially designed for wool and silk rugs. There is no finer more thorough cleaning available for fine Oriental and Custom rugs.
Knowing which rugs to wash and which not to wash is the trick. But hand knotted Wool and Silk rugs have been washed for millennia since the oldest known handmade rug is 3500 years old. There are combinations of extraction and dry cleaning methods available to safely clean the other rugs that cannot be washed.
